Youth Improv!
A class and theatre opportunity for ages 10-14.
We're so excited to offer IMPROV again this semester! Join us as we create, stretch our thinking skills, and have a blast learning about the world of improvisation in theatre.
WHAT: A class where we learn about improv, and exercise our skills through games and group activities. Some material will build from week to week to offer practice ,and confidence building. New material will be added each week, too!
WHERE: The Odd Fellows Building. 199 Wilson Ave. Blacksburg. (Behind the Cellar parking lot)
WHEN: Tuesdays. January 30th-March 19th. Guest instructors on February 20th & 27th
6:30pm-7:30pm
WHO: Anyone ages 10-14. The class is capped at 15 participants. No experience necessary!
COST: $110. Registration closes January 27th. No refunds after the first class.
8 Weeks of instruction. Another session of improv will be offered April 1st-May 21st.
Instructor: Joelle Shenk. Joelle received her initial training in improvisation and sketch drama while she traveled the U.S and overseas with a professional drama company. Cool! That was 18 years ago, and she STILL loves sharing the joys of improv with youth. She hopes you'll join her on Tuesdays!
